Default My 2022 Nightster Custom Build!

Bought it last spring when it came out, I knew it was going the custom route right away! Still a work in progress but it has been a great bike to transform into something I didn't think it had potential for.. Should be 100% complete in a month or so. ENJOY!
Still pending: chopped rear fender, rear ohlins suspension with 2.5" drop, led lighting front and rear, exhaust

That is a serious tear-down, Bob! I like what you've got going on and would love to see more when its done.

Good luck and keep up the good work.

Looks very good. Any updates on this? Would love to see a pic of the left side to see how you improved the ugly left engine. Also, did you do any performance upgrades?

Have made a lot of progress, here are some additional photos. Ugly has drastically changed and IMO is no longer ugly. No engine upgrades yet outside of the intake.

Thanks for the pics. Kind of hard to tell from the angle of the left side pics, but it looks like you painted the two center parts of the engine gloss black, along with the covers on the radiator and the neck fillers. It does look very good. Were you able to come up with some kind of improvement for the wires and hoses on the left side?

Yes basically blacked everything out including all plastic pieces, added all available decals (blacked them out first). No improvement for the wires and hoses though sadly. I can say in person you don't notice them nearly as much because of all the gloss parts

Thanks. Can I ask how you blacked out the engine covers? Some kind of hi temp gloss powder coating? How much did it cost? I like the look and am hoping it's reasonable $ to duplicate.

Basically had to take most the engine apart as those are the actual covers of the engine not just caps. We used ceramic coating for any high heat items and powder for everything else, plastic of course was painted. Total cost was about $15k however that includes the wheels which were 5k, rubber, switch to chain drive to fit the wider rear, led lighting, dropping front forks and Ohlins suspension in rear. My guess is without those items you could likely have it done around 5k depending on how far you go with it.
