I'm sure you local dealership will take a deposit. When the Pan America was first announced and I asked my local dealership about it they said "Give us a $1,000 deposit and you can have the first one we get"

i know there were some people saying that forward controls on a 'sport' bike was a horrible idea , so it's nice to see that mids are available from P&A . i like the look of the tail bag as well . now somebody in the aftermarket needs to design a decent looking exhaust for it .

pretty much demographics. The Indian is fwd. Most people buy fwd for a sporty. Just makes sense. It's not a sportbike. It's a sporty bike

given the HP and torque specs on this bike stock off the dealer's floor this is closer too a 'sport' bike than HD usually gets . yeah nobody would mistake it for a sportbike but a number of people have questioned the forwards since mids give you better control on the twisties and this bike ought to be a blast on a nice curving road .
for a traditional Sportster , i'm only 5'10" and i want forwards on it for sure . depends how you ride mostly .

i wouldn't buy one (those rear controls would have my knees screaming at me after about 10 minutes) and it's not my style at all . but it's a damn sexy looking bike and i know i'd be thinking about it as i walked around the dealership looking at bikes .
