Default pure power oil filter

Has anyone used this oil filter? Read that it's supposed to add 8-10 HP to your bike. Is it worth it ?

I've never heard of an oil filter giving a hp gain. Sounds like a marketing ploy to me.

From what I understand it works along the same lines as the K&N AC filters. Thats why i'm asking, some one with more knowledge than I can probably explain it better. I read their website can't really tell if it's marketing....Purepower is the name.

i have one on order...should arrive anyday now...i also have some for our trucks...as for the power, probly...consider that everything in your motor is turned by horsepower...if your oil pump will push oil easier, it will take less power to turn the pump...less parasitic power loss=more power to the rear wheel

I read a review in a magazine... sounded like it was written by a salesman, but the Theory seemed sound. I am not a mechanic tho, so I could be easily swayed by a slick marketier.

I am very interested in the concept however. I would love to squeeze a few more ponies outta my Shovel. But, I have to have some assurances that it works, from people that really know what they are talking about and have no financial gain at stake, before I plop down a couple hunnerd bucks on an oil filter.

It tookalittle over 2months to get mine. From what they told me the write-upabout thier filter for the H.D.was put into print 6 weeks before it was supposed to be. This is the reason they are behind the power curve on fabrication and delivery. They are contracted to the D.o.D. and ive seen thier filters in action. As long as they dont takea roundthey'll last forever. Expensive as hell, but i do like the idea of less drag on the oil pump as well as thier built in oil cooling properties. Didnt notice a difference from stock, but then again my stock filter was only on long enough for me to get my scoot home from the dealer (30 miles), and along with the filter went on other mods. Sorry for the lack of performance information.
As far as thier claim to that much of a gain remember, they did take out the 20w-50 engine oil and replaced it with thier own 15w-40. This slightly lighter weight oil "could" account for a fraction of that gain I.M.O. Anyway you cut it, it'll take awhile for it to pay for itself lol.
