I have to agree with both of you however under 40 degrees they lose their warmth. I solved this, at least down to the temps that I will ride only high 20s possibly more like low 30s, by buying a pair of thermalux glove inserts that are not much thicker than spandex and add quite a bit of warmth to the gaunlets.
