Leather Jackets??

RE: Leather Jackets??
Bought a HD FXRG leather jacket, rode in 35* weather running 70-85mph . the zip outliner and gortex in the jacket was very good at keeping the cold out. Got my wife one too. she really likes it. I think it has a 5 yr warranty. I got the mid weight too. I haven't been disappointed with it either. The price is high but when I rode and found out how warm it was I didn't care about the price. The gortex will help if you ride and it rains too. Air doesn't blow down the sleeves. You don't have to buy a larger size than you need to have the sleeves long enough when you stick yer arms out. No need for gauntlet gloves. A pair of short gortex gloves was great with my jacket. It has zippers to let air in if its hot outside too.
Hope you find what yer looking for.

The name brands people are suggesting are great, but for a traditonal jacket like you want, I'd just go cheap. I have an 88 buck Steerhide one that I bought from JC Whitney 15 years ago that has seen tens of thousands of miles and one wreck. It is still in good shape. It is a heavy jacket, probably about 10 lbs. I bought the OL one for 75 bucks from a truck stop 4 or 5 years ago. It has held up just fine. BTW, both of them are the the much ill talked about Pakistani leather. I can't find anything wrong with alot of that stuff myself.

The classiest looking moto jacket around is the "King of the Road" by Aero Leather of Scotland. Unfortunately, with the exchange rate being what it is, it costs 825 US dollars to buy one. They are made to measure, though. http://www.aeroleatherclothing.com

I bought a Pistol Pete style leather jacket from Hemp Hawg on Ebay for around $250. Heavy duty naked leather with zip out lining plus the added feature of removable shoulder, elbow and back pads. I got mine 2 years ago and has held up well and looks sharp. They do sell some cheap lookingstuff but this one is top notch.
