The Harley dealer, Dennis Kirk, Drag Specialties...

 

I just ordered a windsheild from Dennis Kirk, never have did buisness with them before but we will see what happens.
We will be in the Twin Cities at the end of this month for our Mississippi river run down to Illinois Quad Cities[8D]

 

I tend to forget about Dennis Kirk because I mainly remember them as a snowmobile supplier from my younger days. Maybe I'll have to see about getting myself a catalog. Let us know how your sales experience goes with them.

 

Same probelm with a seat I ordered from Surdykes... Placed an order three weeks ago, no status change, called the guy answering the phones and he says it's shipping tomorrow and will send 2-day air. 4 days later no seat, called him back and said it was due in the next day and then shipping. I told him to stuff it and cancelled the order. THEY ARE SCAMMERS! Do not use them.

P.S. My credit card was charged before they even had the product available, bad business!

 

Yup, I have heard alot of bad about Surdykes, more bad than good[:@]

I had my one and only experience with them. They did save me a few bucks, even with shipping, but the customer service and the turnaround time for orders is way unacceptable to me. I'm finished with them.

 

I use J&P Cycles, Ebay as well & Zippers once.

J&P are quick to deliver but sometimes describe the part you buy as a direct fit. When it arrives, you need other parts. Happened to me twice now. But join the Gold Club to get reasonable discounts.

Ebay has better deals but shipping is always slow (since i'm in New Zealand).

Zippers is good but i found they have the most expensive shipping.

 

Try Horny Toad HD out of Temple, Texas. That's who I use. They give the same discount as Surdykes but I find their customer service much better and their delivery time much faster.

That's is really the only dealership I do business with.
