I have a H-D hydraulic clutch on a CVO. It's not any easier to pull than a cable clutch but maybe that's because of the 110 motor it's connected to?

Makes me think all newspapers do not have lab test with numbers that could help compare and decide. Am I wrong ?

I can tell you that newspapers do not have lab facilities. They just interview and report what somebody tells them, right or wrong. Probably wrong, more often than not. Think of it as advertising.

I was just reporting the pull on my H-D HYDRAULIC CLUTCH did not seem any easier than a cable clutch, which I thought was the question.

Didn't blame you, sure not.
Just regretting that those 'marketing/journalist' did not try to provide else than fashion stuff. They fear !

There are several similar devices, sold under various names, another being Clutchlite. It is a small device that replaces a stock part inside the trans end cover, which converts clutch lever movement into clutch operating motion. By changing the geometry of it, the effort to operate the clutch is reduced, although clutch adjustment can also be compromised.

To give more details than that will start to get complicated!

I used a Clutchlite for a while, then read a good review of the Diamondback cable, which I fitted. It was so effective at reducing lever effort I removed the Clutchlite. Used together they should help significantly improve things.

I like the look of that! Be interested to hear if anyone has first-hand experience of one.

In my humble opinion, ain't no frickin' way I would waste 700 bucks on a hydraulic clutch.
I would just about bet that over 1/2 the people did not get what they though it would be=being easier to pull in[sm=forgetit.gif]
Put that 700 big ones to some other use.
Remember, this is just my opinion[8D]
Same here. I checked my plates at 100k and they had little to no wear.
