A friend just got a polo style helmet. Says it's easier on his neck and that it doesn't feel like its trying to rip&nbsp\\;his head off.&nbsp\\;

Game,I have about six helmets in the garage.I have everything from a $20 novelty in large and medium,a ACC carbon fiber DOT model and a 1969 Bell shorty helmet with no lining,just styrofoam.
The ACC HELMET WAS ABOUT $180- and I tried it with every combination of pads and hats/scarfs/bandanas and stilll the damn thing still floats as soon as I get it over 45 or so.Ive adjusted everything on the thing and no good.Some swear by them so I reckon my heads extra slippery.I do have hair..
The helmet I wear is the Bell with no lining.I believe it has to do with the individual.Ill never buy another helmet without trying it on first.

Nature of the beast, aerodynamically half helmets catch the wind. Only thing that will minimize it is a fairing. When I switched to a glide with a fairing I can now have my face shield up to 50 mph. On my old softail I always had the shield down.

I just bought a SCORPION X-100 half-helmet that works for me.....

it has a cool "drop-down" visor (buit-in) that, when riding, actually helps keep the helmet from "floating" because the air is pushing down......
