Default Looking for a decent leather vest

Anyone have any recommendations? I'm looking for the heaviest (no cold weather liner or anything) leather one I can find. I want this thing to be of tough riding leather that would damned near stand up on it's own. I don't want any soft leather products. Pockets, etc, aren't too important. I like the look of a lace-up at either side. I don't want any patches or embroidery on the thing or anything - just a straight, hard-leather biker vest that will take thousands of miles and a beating. I'm 6'2", 225 pounds with a 48" chest, so I'd need something a tad on the large size.

Anyadvice would be appreciated.

Of the three vests I own, my Fox Creek is, by far, the heaviest. It's fit and finish is excellent too.

Look at LeatherUp. Their stuff looks like it would be crap because it is so cheap, but they have absolutely rave reviews, and I think their stuff is great!! Very heavy, very soft, just like what everyone else charges an arm and leg for.

The Lil Joes look pretty heavy-duty, from the photos. I'm going to have to phone to find out how thick the leather is. Fox Creek tells you their leather is 1.4mm thick, as does Icon.

I've heard good things mentioned in the past about most of the companies mentioned above. I've only owned one leather vest so I can't say how it compares to the others. However, 2 years ago I bought a vest from TRD Leather at the Easy Riders show. It's not the thin, cheap stuff you see at most of the rallys. It's a very nice piece. At the time I paid $69 and I think I was told that was $10 off their price on the web site. I've been extremely pleased iwth the TRD vest.

Fox Creek (IMHO) is the best, a cut above the imported HD stuff.
