Scorpion Helmet
I was checking out the Oct. 2007 American Rider in which they describe what is on the market in full coverage helmets. The Scorpion EXO-1000 has a built in sun visor that can be rotated downward behind the windscreen. I ride home from work into the setting sun and that would be a wonderful feature. It also has inflatable cheek pads which is appealing. Has anybody worn one of these or have an opinion on it?

RE: Scorpion Helmet
I didn't see the article nor have I seen an EXO-100 helmet. However, I do have an EXO-700, and it is by far the most comfortable helmet that I have ever owned. It has pretty good peripheral vision, not too much wind noise, and is relatively light in weight. Cheek pads and head liner easily remove for cleaning too. IMO, Scorpion makes a nice helmet that is both DOT and SNELL approved. Gonna have see if any of the shops around here have the EXO-100 model. Sounds like a good setup to me, I'm interested as well.

RE: Scorpion Helmet
Maybe it was on the Dynathread but somebody inquired about helmets and I was surprised how many people had and liked Scorpion helmets. The closest Scorpion dealer is the Yamaha dealer about an hour west of here. Sounds like a good excuse for a motorcycle ride some afternoon.

RE: Scorpion Helmet
Thanks, I'll check back for your feedback on it. I paid the big bucks for a Simpson Outlaw and have never been happy with it. It is hot, it is hard to get my eyeglasses through the eye opening, and the visor is a b____ to get fastened in place. To change visorsI've got to get out an allen wrench and struggle with it. I've worn Simpson helmets since the early 80's and the last two were a disapointment. I've got a 3/4open faceSimpson that has asevere lift issue when there is strong cross winds out on the road. Having that helmet try and rip my head off my neck for mile after mile gets really old.
