Default Helmetless headsets

Anyone use or consider using this headset? I ride with a 1/2 helmet in Michigan, but when we get to Ohio, it's helmetless. Any suggestions on this unit before I buy one would be appreciated.

Not sure if you've purchased these 1/2 helmet (or helmetless) headsets. I've been running with them for about 2 years, but I've had continued problems with them and had to return no fewer than 10 times. I have 2 sets (fortunately) as I intended for my wife to wear one, but she doesn't particularly care for the way it feels. So now I use it as the backup when one fails.

Supposedly Sierra has changed manufacturers and their product has improved. I am still waiting to see. I've had them fail on initial try (one side is "dead") and sometimes it has been several rides later....

Diana is the person you'll want to talk with when you call.

I purchased mine from Whitehorsegear.com. The only problem I have is that the mic does not work in intercom mode, which is the primary reason I purchased one (I have installed a sidecar). We are attempting to work through the problem. According to John at JM, it is probably an incompatable issue do to the type of mic system vs Harley's system, we'll see. Whitehorse so far has been very willing to work through my problem. We'll keep you advised. BTW, they are the same price as Sierra. The manufacturer is Motorcom.
