Default Replacement Battery for HD Road King

Hello All,
Does anybody have a suggestion for replacing a stock HD battery? Is there anything better and worth the money?

Thanks

I just put in a new Harley battery at 108,000 miles, I thought it would of lasted longer I hear that the Harley one is about the best you can get.

I have heard from several folks that the Odyssey Sealed Rechargeable Drycell batteries are tough and last ( http://www.enersysreservepower.com/d..._101R_0503.pdf ). I just bought one for my Night Train and have found that Summit Racing and Battery Solutions ( http://www.batterysolutionsinc.com/i...S&Category=432 ) have the best pricing. So far I have been impressed with mine.... but time will tell.

The Odessey is a good product. Not always available from most shops, but obtainable online.

The OEM H-D, Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) battery is very high quality. However, they do not like being left around in a less than fully charged state. If you keep them connected to a Battery Tender when you're not riding, you will extend the life considerably. You should be able to get 4 years out of an AGM.

For the money I would really find it hard to beat an OEM battery. Mine is 4yrs old now.

I agree, partially... My OEM lasted 5 years (with the help of a battery tender), but when it failed it failed all at once. My local HD shop is awfully proud of their batteries, so for less money and a longer warranty I opted for the Odyssey... You know, HD also stands for Hundred Dollars plus tax....
