I, too, have been a fan of AMSOIL for a while now. Given the engineering statistics and the company's history, (first to formulate a jet engine lube, 1952), it leaves me no doubt that I have made the right choice for my bike.

Interesting thread. I'll be checking out the Bel-Ray 85-140, now running Syn3.
There's a good tech article in one of the bike rags this month about transmissions, can't remember if it is American Iron, Hot Bike, or American Rider. The article talks about Baker Transmissions and their cure for 5th gear whine in the 6 speed tranny. Fifth gear is straight cut like either first or second, not helical like the other gears. This is what causes the whine. And for $1100-$1300 you too can have a cure according to Baker. Anyway, I'll locate the article and post it later.
