Default engine sprocket torque

HD manual says to torque engine sprocket nut to 400 ft lbs. Is the compensator nut the one they are refurring to? And is 400 ft lbs correct if so I'm having trouble finding a torque wrench that goes that high? Thanks this forum has been very helpful.

I think you are off on this. I just installed my 6 speed today. The torque specs for the engine sprocket nut is 70-80 ft lbs.

That sounds like an old spec for tightening the nut that holds the crankpin in the flywheel. Do that to your tranny and wait for something to break...
