Default After stripped bolts are removed.

I have had quite a few problems with the torxs bolts that hold many different parts on my 1997 Heritage Softail Classic. Most a pretty east to get out and what AI have done to avoid this problem in the future is to replace these bolts with stainless steel allen head bolts. They are harder, less likely to strip out and can be found at most local hardware stores. They are not as shiny as chrome but not near the hassle.

Never really had a problem with Torx. I use an impact driver and always ensure that I have the correct sized bit. The impact driver costs about $20.
