78 sportster clutch

Default 78 sportster clutch

i just finished replaceing my clutch. I followed the climer manuel instructions to the t. my clutch will not disengauge now i dont know what to do next i adjusted the clutch mecanism in the primary and everything the clutch is really stiff and does not dissengauge.any help would be greatly apperciated

I believe it is a problem inside the basket. i am not getting the 1/8 inch min. clearence between the outer drive plate and the thrust plate (i believe its called)its shy of an 1/8 by about 1/32 or less. im going to put washers at the end of the stud spacers to allow for the right clearence. i would appriceate any advice or bits of wisdom any one has thank you
