pitbulldog,
What did they charge you to put the 6 speed in? I am thinking of doing something just like you did. Do you like it that much more than stock?

I recommend the SE 6 speed 100%. I couldn't be happier with it. I've ridden it for 10,000 miles without a problem. I've heard people say it's expensive ($1700 for the gear set + $700 installation labor) but to me it was well worth it. I rode the 88" with the 6 speed for about 5,000 miles then did the 95" stage II upgrade. The combination of the 6 speed and the 95" motor is awesome.

As much as I've always worked on my own bikes in the past, due to time constraints and this being my first new bike, I had the Stealer install my tranmission. I've seen quite a few posts on this web site about others who have installed the 6 speed themselves, I'm sure you could get some good feedback on doing it yourself. I also read a post about a guy who sold his 5 speed gearset for $700 on E-Bay. Mine is sitting in a box in my garage, once again the "time constraints thing".........
Good luck! You will love this upgrade!

I have one and love it. The dealer installed it whem the bike was new and I have about 18,000 miles on it now. Only good for over 70 mph. I would let a dealer put it in because they had a few leaks and had to fix it on their time but it has not had any more leaks since the install.
