Default Major or minor issue?

Test drove a 95 heritage the other day and was hesitant to make an offer. Bike shifted perfectly fine, however, finding the gears took a little effort. I'm thinking it's an adjustment in the shifter, but was apprehensive to trust my own judgement. Does anyone have some input? Thanks

Could be as simple as a shifter pawl adjustment or a dragging clutch but until you open up the trans there is no way to know for sure.

Bushing for the foot shifter is probably dirty and needs lubing.

Give us more detail about this. Did you have difficulty selecting first gear from neutral when stationary? Difficulty getting neutral? Those things are usually down to poor clutch adjustment and easy to put right. Evo clutches can take a little effort to get them just right.
