Default Size of snap clip on clutch lever pivot pin?

So I can get the right size pliers and extra snap clips for the pivot pin on the clutch lever (and do so the first time at the hardware store), does anyone know what size they are? My experience is that the small clips get quickly lost without the right pliers and that's what I want to avoid. Thanks.

The small inner c-clip pliers work fine, sorry can't tell you the size of the c-clip though because when I took mine off I just matched it up at the hardware store.

I will probably catch some criticism for this, but try putting those little snap rings in your toolbox. I haven't used them in ten years and have never experienced an issue with the pins coming out, or even moving.

I would buy someretaining ring pliers at Sears.
You could measure the OD of the pin, should be about 7/16".This is theretaining ring size.

Default Circlip Pliers Sizes

So you know...I work for KNIPEX

For most of the small Circlips on a Harley you can use pliers with size 0 or 1 tips. For transmission work sizes 1 and 2, Just don't use a small size Circlip pliers on a big Circlip. Even though it fits, using a small pliers on a bigger clip will break the pliers tip off.

At the bottom of this page you will see a chart that will help:
