Default Clutch cable issue on 11 Heritage

My Heritage softail developed a problem with only 1250 miles. After a couple slow races with the HOG chapter, the clutch gave out. We were close to the dealer, and they towed it in and told me that the clutch cable was extremely tight. They adjusted it so the friction zone engaged almost immediately as the clutch was released. It ran fine for a couple days, but I've now gone a total of 150 miles since the adjustment and the friction zone is now close to full release. Is my problem with the cable, or the clutch itself? Never heard of a clutch cable tightening itself.

Start from zero and do a by-the-book clutch and cable adjustment. Not a lot of miles on your bike, shouldn't see clutch or cable problem this soon. Best to get everything adjusted properly and monitor it from there. I can't think of a reason the cable would tighten on its own.

If you were slow racing you more than likely smoked your clutch pack.
