Default 3.37 gearing on 99 FXSTC....????

Hi, all. Could somebody help me out with figuring this out. I have a 1999 Softail Custom. Last summer I installed a 24 tooth BDL compensator. I loved the change, but now I want a little bit more (imagine that! haha). So I've been trying to research the 3.37 swap, but it seems like everything I find is newer bikes. Will the 37846-99a clutch shell (37T) work on my bike? Does my bike have a 36 tooth on it right now, I can't seem to find this info online and I don't feel like pulling my primary cover to count the teeth.

By the time I spend the money on the clutch basket I could just buy a Baker 23 tooth compensator. Anybody have any experience installing one of these. I have already turned my tension shoe upside down. What will I have to do for the 23t? Is it like the 21t where you have to cut the primary for clearance?

Thanks for the help.

Stock final drive is 3.15:1. Primary is 25:36 trans to wheel is 32:70
With the 24 tooth the final drive is 3.28:1.
A 24:37 primary will be 3.37:1.

You will need the early FL clutch and chain to go with the 24 tooth engine sprocket.

When you say early FL..... what exact years? Do you know if the part # I listed is the right one. Thanks. I really appreciate the help.

1999-2001 touring bikes
37846-99a 37 teeth and the 37707-98a 36 teeth are interchangeable.

Anybody have any experience with a Bandit Super Clutch? It comes with a 37t gear. I can pick one up on eBay for $425 shipped. The H-D 37t basket is around $325. Figure I might as well spend $100 more and get a complete clutch. But does the Bandit need any clearancing in the primary? I know S&S sells a similar setup, but the inner primary needs cut on a little.
