Default Shifting/clutch issue

I have a 2007 Deluxe, with a stage I kit and 29K miles.
80% of the time I shift to a higher gear, my bike revs up with my hand completely off the throttle as I pull in the clutch before shifting into the next gear. The throttle appears to be ok; it snaps back quickly into place when it's released.
Does anyone have an ideas? I have the service manual but could not find anything.
Thanks!

If you do not have throttle by wire you need to go thru the process of setting the push/push throttle cables. I can post it if you need it but it's in you service manual. If by chance the cables are not original, make sure spring is on correct side of cable at throttle body. It is FI?

It is FI and not throttle by wire. I found the throttle cable/throttle control inspection & adjustment in the manual.
Thanks!
