Hey guys, looking for some advice on a few things. I am new to road bikes. I have worked on sleds and atv all my life so this is new to me. I recently bought my first HD. I bought some ape hangers and was changing my clutch cable. When i opened the cover i lost some fluid. I took it to the dealer for the oil change when i brought it home and this oil looks new, is this the tranny fluid and is there a drain plug, what should i put back in there. Going to the dealer tonight to get a new gasket and hopefully a service manual. any advice would be good.

 

If you had it serviced at a dealer, just put HD tranny fluid in it. That's most likely what they used. BTW, it is nothing more than gear oil. Lots of guys use Mobil 1, Amsoil, Redline and so on instead of the HD stuff.

 

Tranny oil....Like was posted, but the dealer probably used Formula+. I'm running Mobil 1 in my tranny after years of running The MoCo semi-syn.
