Neutral Switch wire goes?

Neutral Switch wire goes?
I have a 90 FLTC Tour Glide and the Neutral light hasn't worked since I got it. While playing around and tinkering with it, I discovered that the light still works, but the wire is not connected. I found the wire, it looks like it has been cut or broke off, and I found the neutral switch on the top cover of the tranny, but how is the wire supposed to attach to the switch? The exploded image online doesn't show the wire connected... Any help would be appreciated.

I got tired of waiting... LOL! Apparently there is supposed to be a boot on the end of the wire with a connector that snaps onto the top post of the neutral switch, and apparently mine was missing/ripped off. I took a flat blade type female crimp on connector, opened it up and made it round to match the top post of the switch, and crimped it onto the wire. I used round pliers to squeeze the connector onto the post and made sure it is a nice, tight fit, and voila! my nuetral light is working again. Gotta love the cheap, quick fixes rather than paying someone else to do it.
