Default Primary clunking

Tore into my bros fb and installed his mid mounts....
Everything went great, test rode it and he put about 75 miles on it... No issues until today, there is a clunking sound coming from the primary, at all times, i havent tore into it yet, im thinkin maybe its the compensator bolt???
Any ideas? Maybe it backed off alittle!!!
I'll get into it tonite...

I just installed the new SE compensator.....what a difference, no clunk, no rattles, very smooth shifting and neutral is easier to find.

Have an 11 ultra classic same problems as you described....It was a bad compensator..bolt not torqued properly from factory I was told. only 3,900 miles on the bike... They replaced the compensator, inner and outer gear, plus the chain...
