Default Clutch Lever Pin Clip

Any good way to get it safely off (without a pin pliers)? Thanks.

I used the snap ring pliers (borrowed them) but it is a good idea to own a pair. Still ruined the c-clip and had to replace it.

These pliers come in sizes. Any idea on which size I should get for that clip? And how did you break the clip? (so I won't)

You can buy the clips at Lowes in the hardware department. I bought extra to have them on hand when needed. They are inexpensive at Lowes.

Get a pair of pliers with changeable tips. You can use them on a variety of different snap ring sizes.

The changeable tips model is a good idea, I just used the small ones. I broke it by overstretching it and I couldn't get it back to form so I just went and got another one for like $.10. My plan is to keep a boatload of these clips and cross match all the plug o-rings and buy a boat load of those as well so I never have to get halfway through something and run back to a store because of my bumbling ways in breaking rings, etc.

Not only is the pin in an awkward spot, it's small too, which does help. Looks like I'll get pliers.

Loosen up the control assembly...Rotate it so you're not standing on your head....

I'd just take a pic or small needle nose pliers and rip it off. You can get a hand full of small snap rings are Lowes for a couple of bucks. Replace as necessary.
