This is my first post and first harley. I just bought a 2003 dyna. The previous owner had drag bar installed and I went back to the factory mini ape hangers. I was required to replace the clutch cable. The clutch did not slip prior to replacing the cable. I had to remove the side plate on the transmission cable to install the new cable. I just hooked it up and closed the cavity and adjusted the clutch play and now it slips under hard power. I have tried adjusting the clutch cable both ways no difference. Is there a trick I missed when I hooked the cable up to the transmission. Thanks for any help.

 

Welcome. I would take the derby cover and do a full clutch adjustment, then adjust the cable.
