Default Cam chain tensioner Noise?

This horse has probably been beat to death but has anyone noticed any noise with worn or bad Cam chain tensioners.

By the time you hear noise, you have metal on metal. That's too late. Pull the cover off and have a peek.

I changed to the S&S 510 gear drive cams. After 3000 miles on my 06 Heritage Classic I already had wear on the cam chain tensioners. Big time torq increase with the 510 cams!! (had it dyno'd)
Good luck

I am guessing there is a DIY post for the procedure to disassemble and most importantly, correctly reassemble.

I don't think you will find many sections still in operation on that site.

The MOCO has just about shut him down completely.

The two sections that cover the cam chest are still in operation, those being the big bore and cam swap and then one of the tickers that you can see the shoes (distorted) in the picture of the ticker. Best to have yourself a manual also.
