Default 2007 Tranny issues - Thumbs Up

After reading all the posts, we obviously know how many people are having serious problems. Anyone happy with the performance of their 07 Touring models? Just trying to find out how many "positive" bikes are out there! I can not say that my 07 FLHX is 100%... but it is not nearly as bad as some peoples. My bike, in my opinion, makes a little bit more noise than I am used to, but it is smooth and enjoyable to ride! I've spent some time on a 06 FLHX...and I must say that I like the 07 better. Good Luck to all that are having serious issues.

Well - I put about 250 miles on my new 07 Ultra today - and I'm telling you it's smooth - doesn't whine - doesn't chatter - nothing... I can't hear any difference in any of the gears - first through sixth - and I'm really lugging it since the dealer told me not to exceed 2500 rpm for 500 miles.

The only bitch I have is that it is a hot mother... Hopefully some pipes and a race tuner will fix that - but you know I rented a 06 this summer and it was hot as well. This bike is superior to the 06 Ultra I rented. I love the 6th gear - and the big engine..

I'm one happy guy tonight - because I've been reading all of this stuff on the tranny issues - and I am really relieved that my Ultra doesn't yet seem to have any of these issues. (I'm keeping my fingers crossed...)

This is the best yr yet for drive ratios-period.This could very well be the best yr ever if the MOCO can make the guys having problems happy.

All good here, build date 9-7. A little whine in 5th, kinda like it. You should have heard my softail when I lugged it, now that was noise!

Got an '07 RoadKing three weeks ago and do not hear the noise everyone is talking about. For the first 500 I thought it sounded a little different then my '03, but just ignored it. Now with right at 1000, everything is running and sounding smooth.

If your tired of guys crying about the tranny noise, why do you continue to read the posts about it and reply to them?

hd2007 I would imagine if you were one of those guys, we would hear you even with the computer turned off. Give em a break, it is frustrating to put out that much $$$ & have problems from the beginning & no end in sight. If you are really tired of hearing it , dont read their posts. I am happy you have a good one, but they have problems.
