Quick fix for the heat and whinning gears.
1. Install a fuel management system. Your choice. There are pleny out there with setups for the stock AC and pipes.
2. Put full synthetic oil in all the holes. I prefer Amsoil, Mobil 1 is more readily available. There are plenty out there. Syn III is not a pure synthetic oil and in my opinion will not do much better than regular oil.
I just rode an 07 Ultra that has a PC III USB with map from Dynojet and Amsoil in it. There was no excessive heat and the transmission was hardly noticeable and much smoother shifting.

issue is not all tranny.....i get the impression you might work for HD..
really glad you got a good one. ride the **** out of it. I to would like to do that but have been told to unload it and let someone else take the chance and try to use the 5yr warr when it goes.
really sucks guy. the bike is trully a winner if it's a good one. I can't and will not take the chance
