It should be fairly easy to find... but it is between 1st and 2nd. Pull up out of 1st slightly, not quite as hard as you would going to 2nd. Your clutch my be dragging a hair which can make it a little more difficult. Just sit in one spot and with the engine running try pulling the clutch in and putting it into first and then let the clutch out to the friction zone, pull it back in and pull up slightly and see if you don't find neutral.

If what TX is telling you doesn't work you may need to have your clutch adjusted. As TX said, if your clutch is dragging it will make it more difficult to find neutral.

Don't feel stupid...I have the hardest time finding neutral. I feel like you do...I can hit it if I'm lucky!

I agree with terry and TX, your clutch adjustment probably is the problem , if you have a service manual , go exactly by the book and give it a good adjustment, you may need to do it more than once to center the ***** in the ramp by squeezing the clutch after collapsing the cable adjuster, but I think it would be worthwile.

I too had trouble finding neutral on my new RK. It keeps on getting easier the more miles I put on it. I have 2500 now and I hit it easily every time.

Keep trying if your clutch is not the problem.

Neutral is between 1st and 2nd and is easiest to find if the bike is moving or at least has a bit of movement. If you try to find it at a dead stop, it can be hard to find.

It's easiest to find neutral if you locate it as you stop but still rolling 1-2 mph

If you're at a dead stop and having problems I find that sometimes if I roll the bike forward a little bit while I try putting it in neutral it will usually go in.

Could be you oil level too. Check your book on where to fill you primary to. Mine was over full a little and it was hell finding neutral. I drained a little and, good to go. Works like a champ now.
Good luck
