You may have too much or the wrong weight oil in the primary. 26 oz of 20w50

I have found that a good motorcycle oil in a 10W40 weight works great. I am using Royal Purple Synthetic 10W40 MaxCycle.... and it is important to only use what the manual calls out (26 oz?)...

I too had trouble finding neutral on my new RK. It keeps on getting easier the more miles I put on it. I have 2500 now and I hit it easily every time.

Keep trying if your clutch is not the problem.
Yeah, mine was the same when new, how many miles have you got on the clock? Mine loosened up nicely after a couple of thousand miles.

Grumpy,
You are talking 'bout your bike, right?

I think I had about 2,000 on it when it became real easy to find. Also my stops and starts got much better, the bike handled better.

I think it might be me that was breaking into the bike. It all seems easier, and more fun, now.

You know it's funny, but when I first got my Nghttrain, I was having the opposite problem. Nearly everytime I'd shift from first to second I'd miss, and hit neuitral. I've ridden alot of bikes so I really believed the problem wasn't me[8D]. My neighbor across the street's son just graduated from one of the Motorcycle Mechanics institutes, and works at a HD dealer in LA. went over and asked him what he thought, he rode it around the block and said the lever was set a little high, he adjusted it up one click and I never had that problem again. I'd have never thought of something that simple.

I find that a quick blip of the throttle as I click the lever to neutral works when it doesnt want to cooperate.

Any of you guys have much riding time on a CZ / Zawa? On that bike it is hard not to hit neutral and I remember my first ride the owner said 'When you shift to second, shift again 'cause you will be in neutral' and he was right. Thinking that was just the bike, years later I was riding a 250 CZ and it was several years newer and the same thing... Also, on all my dad's BMW's neutral was very easy to hit.... I wonder if it is a European thing?

Primary chain to tight , makes it hard to find neutral some times , causes over shift from 1st to second . Hope this helps.
