The drive belt that goes to the rear wheel, do you have to put any belt dressing or any thing to keep it from drying out and to make it last longer?

 

I had 95K miles on my last bike. Never touched the belt.

Poly-Chain belts require no lubrication. In fact any petroleum products may shorten the belts life..What usually goes first are the pulleys wear out. Hawgley

ccasionally soap and water to keep it clean, dust and grit free

 

Keep clean, and to reduce pulley wear I use dry graphite "dust" applied to ribs of belt, with back end lifted off ground apply and rotate in nuetral one way to get trans pully, then other to get rear wheel pulley.

Graphite is an abrasive..I would recommend spray silicone lube instead but to each his own. Hawgley

I've never put anything on me belt and nver had any problems.

 

treat it like a sore pecker, dont fck with it!
