Default Bike Slipping Help

Have an issue that is starting on my bike I was hoping for some help with. Lately, on the ride home from work (fine on ride to work) I have noticed that gears seems to slip. As I accelerate, I give it gas and the bikes revs up with no power pull like the clutch is pulled in and gradually then starts to catch. If I do not hammer it, it accelerates fine. However, if I go to pass someone, the bike does not power forward, it revs then eventually catches. Going home last night, I went aorund a corner and hammered the bike to check it out and it revved up and then died after a few seconds. It would not start. Walked it down the street and then it started fine. Only happens on ride home when it is hotter. This is really weird. Any idea what the issue could be or what I need to check. Does not make sense to be tranny gears slipping as it works fine in the morning. Please let me know if you have suggestions. Thanks.

Well, it sounds like your clutches are slipping. I don't know how many miles you have on'em or if it's even adjusted properly. Even if they're new and not compatible with Synthetic fluid. If it's coming out of gear, that's a different issue. you may have to adjust your shifter pawl.

It may just be that the clutch needs to be adjusted.

It needs to be done before you do any more riding, or you will be replacing the clutch plates.
