Default clutch or Trnay problem?

I have a 1993 fatboy with a 1340 evo engine. Today i was rideing and upon take off the bike lost the gears so to speek. When i down shifted it to take off it was like i was still in nutral. The clutch lever is still strong and the bike with sihft into first, nutral, and second and then it stops shifting gears. when shifted into first, or second the bike acts like it is in nutral. Trnay when shifting still sound like it is shifting into gear, but like i said it doesn't move. I think it is the clutch? What could the problem be? And how much am i looking at it costing to fix?
