Anyone have any tips on removing the bearing on the inner primary? I have the seals and snap rings removed but hell of a time removing the bearing itself.
pretty sure you need a bearing puller. You can probably "bang" it out with an appropriate socket but you'll likely ruin the bearing and possibly the seat.
got an indy you can take it to? They can pull yours and press in the new one

That bearing isn't coming out with a bearing puller, you have a couple choices, you can either put it on a press, press the bearing out of the inner primary cover or you can support the primary cover with some blocks or something and tap the bearing out with a socket the same size as the bearing outer race diameter, will pop right out. You do not want to reuse that bearing, or seal. Lots of guys have upgraded that bearing with a one piece Baker Hi Torque bearing on here, especially the 06 guys.
Find the right diameter socket that will push it out, then put another socket on the other side (this will be a larger socket), put a long bolt through and crank down on the nut, it will be a home made bearing puller.

Yep.....a 12" section of 1/2 inch threaded rod and some good washers and nuts along with some 3/4" drive sockets. I think I used a 2" socket as the receiver and a 1 5/8" to push the bearing out?.
If you have a Harbor Freight or other cheap tool store nearby, you can get a set of 3/4" sockets for $50 with a ratchet.
