Default Shifter Shaft Oil Seal - does this one look like it's leakin?

Should probably just replace it anyway.

replace the retaining clip, too?

Looks clean to me...but all the seals in that area have a hard life, a lot of dirt, sand and belt debris.
Whenever I have the inner primary off I change out all seals and the pulley spacer (unless the seals are fairly new).

It is seeping just a little.Since you have access to it,change it out.
When they do go bad, they leaked oil all over the bottom of the engine.

I don't know for dead certain, BUT...see the orange silicone? That was put there by a shop Dec 08, and maybe 1000 miles since then (I know, poser)...they had the tranny pulley completely off, and the bolts on the tranny plate are new, SO...it appears as though they knew what they were doing and would have replaced those seals.

there was quite a bit of junk all over the trans, but it appears to have some from the vent hose more than anything

should have planned ahead and bought the pack of cometic for like $8. Instead went to local indy and paid $4 for one...probably nowhere near as good as cometic.

anyway...done
