Default Whats in my tranny?

Just bought a used '07 Ultra Classic. Drained the tranny and got a pink/red milky fluid out? It's clean but doesnt look like any of the oil I am used to using. Not sure what previous owner was using. Anybody have any ideas?

Tranny ... or primary? If its the primary ... its most likely automatic transmission fluid.

Default tranny

The shop may have put redline oil in the tranny and after a wash a little water has made it's way into the tranny causing a milky film. Drain and replace oil with your choice of dino or synthetic. The other is someone used a 90/140 hypoid truck oil. Your trans should be fine.

Thats right, Redline is dark red and a superior oil in my opinion. There may be foaming when it's hot but any milky color is usually an infusion of water.

Redline shock proof heavy looks like pepto, but it won't help with indigestion, heartburn, upset stomach, or diarrhea.
