Default HD easy pull cluth, any good

I have an 04 FLHTC, rode a 06 for a week on a fly and ride... Great feel to the clutch.. Have a good friend that just had HD put their HD easy pull clutch on his Road King (not sure what year) Anyway, he called tonight to ask if I put my kit in yet - NO... He said after his kit was installed, he really can not feel where it is all that much easier???? Any thoughts on this or is my friend just getting to that age???? LOL

I wonder if it is EZ Pull clutch kit or the Reduced Effort kit that is stock on the '06 bikes. The reduced effort kit is the same clutch spring as the '06 uses and ramp also. There should be noticeable difference if he replaced the clutch spring.

I put an AMP power clutch on my wife's 02 sporty and the clutch effort is down at least 50%.It was a bear before compared to mine 06.Mine feels like a hydralic clutch almost. You can install the AMP without touching the engine. It just hooks on the clutch lever by the mirror threads.15 minutes without my glasses on and I couldn't see the little stuff.Price is up there though $80-120 depending on year, model and chrome or black.Hers was $85 to the door with shipping and black.

I had the HD Reduced Effort Kit the week it hit the street. Wouldn't ride without it. It makes all the difference in the world if you get stuck in stop and go traffic, or slow rolin' on the interstates.

I installed this kit today, major difference to me. No more hand cramping. It was very easy to install, though I removed the hole exhuast system (6 nuts) and the primary cover (was installing chrome engine kit as well). I also installed the HD primary chain tensioner. I was worried about that after reading it whines in some people's bikes. Quiet as can be in mine, maybe theirs is set to tight to begin with?

I used a similar product years ago on my '97 WG. It was made by White Brothers, and it was just the clutch arm for the right side, where the cable attaches. Made a huge improvement. It's an easy install, and inexpensive. Well worth it.
