Paul, to get more torque you need to go the other way and fit a 30T. It will increase rear wheel torque by 6% and also increase engine speed at any road speed by the same proportion. So if you like to cruise at say 3,000rpm, for the same road speed you will need to use 3180. If you fit a 34T you will lose torque.

The 34 tooth pulley will actually lower your torque and engine RPM (at speed).
The other way to increase your toruqe and raise your RPM would be to install a 70 tooth rear pulley (on the wheel) the stock one is I believe a 66 tooth
