Not to steal the thread, but I have a 99 RK and it's got the straight plug and it has no 'head' to put an oring on. It's just a straight allen head type plug with magnet on end. Prolly previous owner put the newer chrome outer cover on? Anyway, when I replaced the cover the last time, I screwed the plug in too far it seems, because there was no 'stop', and the clutch or primary chain ate the magnet off the end. No leak, but I just changed the oil in the primary when I found all that, and was thinking of doing a rethread next go-round. Thx for all the input, you answered my question while answering his!

I'm still amazed at how clean the magnet was sheared off. Looks like a factory made end. I've got to replace the main drive pully seal soon, so I'll find the rest of the magnet and the wear marks then I'm sure.
