hard to downshift after working on primary
1994 FLHTP.
Just replaced my stator and put it all back together with one even quart of oil.
Before i pulled the primary, she shifted like a feather both heel and toe. Now, upshifting is nice and smooth, but downshifting requires me to really bounce the shifter hard to get it in the next lower gear.
Shutdown in the driveway, I can shift it with my hand up and down nice and smoothly. It is only on the road that it wont downshift.
Any clue?

Adjusted the clutch and BOY was it out. The adjusting rod was so tight I had to back it all the way out to the last thread to get it loose...but then it went back in fine and adjusted normally.
Primary chain was fine, we will see in the morning how she shifts.
I thought since I didnt mess with it when removing it that I woulnt have to set the adjustment...guessed wrong I suppose.
