Default Shift linkage

I just bought a new chrome design shifter linkage. It came with the linkgae and the two end spacer pieces. It didn't come with either of the end swivel pieces. Is there a way to remove the stock swivel bolts? I'm kind of at a loss.
Thanks

most of the aftermarket ones I've seen have bearings on the ends of the linkage and you just run bolts through it. No you can't pull the ball out of the original linkage (and reuse it that is), it's made like a ball joint on a car. Can you take some pics of the new linkage?
