Six speed tranny, 107 ci, Mikuni 42. Crane ignition. In the lower gears, ( 1st, 2nd ) she jumps ahead no problem when I twist the throttle. But in the higher gears, the revs go up, but I dont pick up speed. Works OK if I just gradually increase the throttle. Clutch adjustment?

Sounds like clutch slip to me. Do the adjustment first but consider upgrading the clutch for the 107. Several options available depending on how much you need. Make sure your primary fluid is correct for clutch operation too.

rbabos is correct. 107 inch engine is more than your clutch can take. if you can not go high tech, at least increase your spring tension until you can afford an upgrade. be prepared for more cluch effort though.

Sounds exactly like what my bike was doing. I adjusted the clutch and everything was fine.
