Automatic Clutch? Would You?
Anybody use one of these.

Not that I am planning on trying it. Just curious to see what folks think of it.
The easy clutch that came on my Dyna is fantastic. I can hold it with one finger.

ORIGINAL: Spectrexx
I would never even consider using it. Part of the fun of riding is being able to better control your bike by shifting through the gears the way you want to. Why do you think those Honda-matics didn't last long....?

And I would never use it either.

RE: Automatic Clutch? Would You?
that unit is made by Garry, owner of EFM AUTOCLUTCH...i have one on the chopper...well i own one for the chopper...i took it off....bc, it wont release as quick as i wanted it too....AND, the tolerances are tight...as the steels and disks heat up, they tend to stick...it takes some fiddlin with to get it adjusted...not hard, but agravating after awhile...i also believe there's an inherrant design flaw with stainless ball bearings runing in 6061 aluminum...the ball bearings get clutch dust and oil built up in the grooves and they dont all fling out at the same rate causing chatter...keep in mind this is on a dry clutch system...IMO the one for a wet primary would probably work well...just aint for me
