Default 07 sportster oil leak where clutch cable meets primary cover

I was wondering what would be the best way to fix this. I have tried tightening the actual cable up but it seems like it just keeps turning and will never tighten up. Is it supposed to be this way? Is there a nut behind the primary cover to where I can tighten it up? I'm lost. Also, is there anywhere on the net where there is a breakdown of what is behind the primary cover? I want some tips from experienced mechanics before I try to stop the leak. Thanks for any help.

If you overtighten the cable that goes into the primary odds are you broke the cable.
The primary is threaded no nut inside. there is a O ring on the cable to seal against the primary
