clutch cable ?

You will need a tranny side cover gasket and a clevis pin retaining ring #11143. I would double check the o-ring where it threads in because generally (if it is an HD cable) the cable comes with the o-ring. If it is aftermarket then yes you may need the o-ring. Also if you cannot get the tranny side cover off without dropping your exhaust, then you'd need exhaust gaskets. If you are not ready for a tranny oil change, put both wheels up onto 2 x lumber and lean the bike way over to the left on the jiffy stand (it won't fall) and all the fluid will go to the left of the transmission and when you pull the cover, you won't lose but a drop. You might also want to do a clutch adjustment which would mean you would need the derby cover gasket.

Dawg, you seem to be the resident expert here...I have a question regarding lubricating the clutch cable. In the shop manual, it just says to lubricate it...there are no real instructions except how to remove/replace the cable and to use HD Super oil.For just routine lubrication, should you just lube the lever connection? What is this "Super oil?" OK, that's two questions...can you help? Thanks....

You can lube it in a couple of ways. You can unhook it and take something like Dri-Slide which comes with a long need that attaches to the top of the bottle and slide the needle down inside the housing and give it a few squirts and then pull the cable up and down inside the sleeve. You can also the easy method by letting it sit for a few hours like the pic below. This way uses pressure to bleed the fluid down in to the cable. I use both every now and again.

The transmission side cover is a gasket, the derby cover can use either a gasket or an o-ring depending on if it is a stock cover and a newer model, etc. Which cover are you talking about and what year bike do you have?
