Angry SE Race Clutch

So, I just had my 103" FXST re-worked. Added Baisley heads, Wood TW6G-7 cams, and a Fat Cat. Makes 100/110. Before I made these changes, I had already installed the SE High Performance Clutch Spring. This modfication couldn't hold the power. So, I went with the SE Performance Race Clutch Hub Kit (PN 37976-08) and SE Perfomance Clutch Kit (PN 37969-03A). This thing is an absolute bitch to pull. Feels like I'm trying to squeeze juice out of a brick. Anyone have experience with this? After a few hundred miles, does it "seat" in a little, or am I stuck with this for good? I'm also considering other alternatives, but I'm not experienced with any of the others....I've heard about Rivera Pro Clutches, and Barnett Scorpions also. Any guidence/ opinions would be appreciated.

I have installed AIM VP92T. I haven't fired up my build yet but I have noticeably less lever effort. It is rated for 129 ft. lb. torque with -7% lever effort with stock clutch and spring. Up to 182 ft. lbs with right spring. I will see very soon how well it works.

I too made the mistake of going with a SE clutch (about 8 years ago). Not only is it a bear to pull, it also "dragged" alot. I went with Rivera Pro Clutch in both my bikes. I have read a lot of good about the Scorpion too. Friend of mine has one in a bike with a 120 Jims and the scorpion has less pull than the Rivera. On the custom I built I added the variable pressure plate which really makes for an easy pull. but...this plate is designed to slip until a certain RPM which makes you modify your riding style at very slow speeds and when pulling off. ...everything has a trade off.

I personally went with the rivera pro clutch , with the H-D hydraulic clutch lever set up & it works great, less effort than a stock clutch with a cable.

You might want to try an EZ-pull - it bolts onto the end of the clutch ramp & reduces clutch effort by about 15%. Used the same setup as yours on a few bikes and it was only a little more effort than a stock clutch.
