Default Transmission drain plug

Hi All - I have a 2003 Heritage Springer that I got used. Went to change the tranny fluid and can't get the drain plug to come out. I am assuming that it turns counterclockwise to remove. Pulled on it with a 1/2" breaker bar and got nothing. I am afraid to use an air tool or a cheater as these may provide too much torque. Any suggestions? Are my fears needless and I can use an air rachet? Thanks to all that respond.

Default RE: Transmission drain plug

You should be able to use a 5/8" socket with an extension and get it loose. It's up between the shocks. Might try riding the bike for a while to get the case hot then try to break it loose.
