I think your primary chain might be too tight. Take off the cover and adjust it. Check to see if there is any grinding going on. I'm not an expert in this field, but thats what it sounds like to me.

Dont know if there is any relation, but mine did the same and made a slight adjustment and still had a little whine.I sprayed some belt dressing on the belt and the whine stopped. Not sure if this was good or not(applying dressing) but it worked .

well the squeal is gone but I have a rubbing squeak sound I think from the rear pulley. Maybe I don't have it aligned right. Will put it on the hog hoist tomarrow and play with the adjustment some more but the squeal on deleration is definitely gone now. I think by spinning the rear wheel on the hoist i will be able to hear the rubbing/squeak sound and adjust it out.

The pulleys are designed to push the belt to the edge. Just make sure your distance from the swing arm pivot and the axle are the same on both sides and the belt tension is correct and inspect the belt for cuts or rips or missing teeth. Stop worring about noises and ride the damn thing.

squeak was from belt. Checked tightness and sprayed belt dressing on belt and now quiet. Gonna ride it tomarrow to HandleBars at Cyclefest in Scottsdale.

Belt dressing is not good man. It will only collect dirt and that will make the belt fail quick.
